- I broke my ankle and tore a ligament skiing in late February and had surgery to insert a pin and stabilize the bone so the ligament could heal properly. I was referred to Dr. Levine by a friend of a friend and as soon as I met him I knew he fully understood I wanted to be "back in the game" as soon as possible. I was a college athlete and being active is a big part of my life today. Skiing, biking, hiking, running, etc. are all things I wanted to be sure I could go back to at 100%. I had surgery in early March, was walking in May, road biking in June, hiking in July and running in August. I was extremely diligent about the rest (the hard part!) and the rehab and the whole process went exactly as expected. I couldn't be happier with the entire team at HSS from the surgery through the post op - everyone is very professional and makes you feel like the most important patient. I hope I won't need their services again, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to come back!
